Telecom Building
Flawless finishes, tight deadlines and last minute changes posed real challenges that the Twin Lakes team rose to complete. Adhering to the sites strict health and safety requirements, Twin Lakes maintained its impeccable record giving Hawkins Construction peace of mind.
The earthquake strengthening steel portals and bridges, balustrades for over 20 floors and custom fittings were manufactured in-house exactly to the buildings unique architecture and angles. Once again letting people know that Twin Lakes are the metal masters.
BNZ Sunshades
An example of Twin Lakes ability to manufacture architectural steel work is the BNZ sunshades. Accuracy, attention to detail, custom work, aluminum, heavy steel, you name it we can make it.
Wellington Hospital
The project which took over 2 years, involved manufacturing complete ducting systems of all sizes, all of which had to meet the hospitals health requirements. This included being cleaned wrapped and sealed. Working closly with project management, communicating all progress and working with a myraid of contractors was a juggling act. Twin Lakes displayed flexibility, professionalism and determination to get the job done.
Freefall Xtreme
Twin Lakes can even make you fly. Freefall Extreme was designed and built in the Upper Hutt factory in 2001 and to this day is believed to be the quietest outdoor wind tunnel in the world. Using a twin turbo, supercharged 1000HP Detroit Diesel engine and a DC3 propellor this mean machine produces wind speeds up to 180km/h (heavy enough to fly people 120kg+). A true engineering masterpiece. Twin Lakes can project manage your job allowing you to get on with your life.
